Physical Therapy

What is Physical Therapy?

The physical therapist is the expert in restoring motion and improving motion to achieve long-term quality of life.  Many of our physical therapists are doctors of physical therapy and all are trusted health care professionals with extensive education in diagnosing and treating conditions that limit the body's ability to move and function in daily life.  These professionals evaluate and assess limitations in function utilizing evidence-based outcomes and measures to develop the specific goals of each patient.

Computerized Balance Assessment and Treatment

Hillcrest Health and Rehab utilizes computerized technology that allows the patient and the therapist visual feedback in relation to balance ability. Therapists may assess an individual's ability for motor and sensory impairments and examine functional tasks as they relate to balance and potential for falls. The computerized technology can also analyze movement difficulties due to prior injury or muscular weakness.
